Malton Cookery School
The Malton Cookery School provides a wide range of family friendly cookery classes aimed to excite, enthuse and improve cooks of all ages. The School celebrates the best Yorkshire produce and baking and enables visitors to enjoy learning new recipes and techniques in our beautiful kitchen where the emphasis is on having a great time.
Malton Cookery School is housed in Saville House, an old congregational chapel – a temple to Yorkshire gastronomy!

A guided gastronomic tour of town – book a ticket and munch your way around Malton’s charming streets, learning local history and tasting some of Yorkshire’s top food and famous local produce.
Typical visits include butchers, bakers and award winning gelato makers plus breweries and a varying selection of our ‘Made in Malton’ producers. You will sample seasonal delights like clementine brownies, award winning sausages, scotch eggs, handmade chocolates, freshly ground coffee, patisserie delights, championship beer, pies, whisky, gin and gelato!

Malton Museum – Subscription Rooms, Yorkersgate, Malton
This Accredited Museum and Registered Charity is Ryedale’s major archaeological museum. It holds a nationally important collection of Roman artefacts, mainly from the Malton Roman fort and town, and from Langton village, a few miles away. The museum also holds archaeological material of all periods from across Ryedale.
The collection includes objects relating to the region’s prehistoric past and to the later history of Malton and Norton, including racing, brewing, trade and other important aspects of local life. For more details click here.
