Getting Here and General Information
The festival is completely free to attend
Publicity: please note during the Malton Game and Seafood Festival and Malton Monthly Food Markets, photographs and video footage will be taken for use in publicity and on related websites.
The main access to Malton is along the A64 from York or Scarborough and from the A169 from Pickering.
2 hours free parking is available in the town centre at Market Place (East), Shambles Car Park and at Navigation Wharf. Pay & Display parking at the special festival rate of £1.50 for the entire day is available at Wentworth Street Car Park and Water Lane Car Park. Additional festival parking is also available for free at Riverside Meadow on the York Road (off the A64 from York) with a regular shuttle bus service into town.
There is a direct train service to Malton on the Scarborough – York – Leeds – Manchester line. For travellers from further afield the best connections are made via York. Malton’s railway line is currently serviced by First TransPennine Express, you can download the latest timetables by clicking here.
There are bus services to Malton from York, Scarborough, Pickering and Helmsley. The Yorkshire Coastliner timetables can be downloaded here. Both the bus and railway stations are just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre.
The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford International (LBA), which is 70 minutes by car

Public pay & display car parking at the special festival rate of £1.50 for the whole day is available at Wentworth Street Car Park, accessible via Smithson Court, Malton and at Water Lane Car Park.
Festival parking is also available at Riverside Meadow on the York Road with a regular shuttle bus service into town.

Coaches and Groups:
Coaches can park at Wentworth Street car park.
While some shops and venues in town do have steps, ramp access is available for the Milton Rooms. Stalls are at ground level. There is a disabled access toilet opposite The Shambles in the centre of Malton.
Accommodation in Malton:
There are cash points on Yorkersgate (Barclays & NatWest), on Market Place (HSBC) and two more on Wheelgate (TSB & Yorkshire Bank).
Dogs in Town:
Malton is a dog friendly town and your dog is most welcome. Well behaved dogs are also welcome on leads to the Malton Monthly Food Markets and food festivals.
Toilets, including disabled access, can be found opposite The Shambles, in the Market Place.
