Newly opened with six stylish en suite rooms in the centre of Malton’s charming Market Place. Chapter two Bar and guesthouse offers guests affordable and comfortable rooms plus a good range of local cask & craft Ales, Lagers, great wines & cocktails.

Malton Brasserie, Yorkersgate

Malton Brasserie is a new everyday dining option and the place to bring the whole family for a really relaxed meal. No tablecloths, no nonsense, just great food & quick service at a really good price.

Expect mussels steamed in Ampleforth cider, a cracking steak and chips, peanut butter parfait or raspberry french toast for dessert. Children’s menu available, specials board, garden terrace and Malton brewed beer!

This social local is one of Malton’s most recognised eating places. Situated in the historic marketplace, the Grade II listed building, Chapter One Bistro (formerly Rory’s Bar) is enjoying a reputation as the place to be for dining, drinking and socialising in comfort.

Tuis Thai Restaurant, 29 Yorkersgate

Just down the road from the Talbot Hotel at 29 Yorkersgate is this excellent Thai restaurant. A mix of superb classic Thai dishes cooked with fresh Yorkshire ingredients. An amazing combination. Recommended is the excellent Panang curry, green curry and any of the pork dishes.





Simon Robertson, 3-time Barista of the Year winner runs this lovely little cafe on Wheelgate.

Good quality cakes, lunches and afternoon tea and the best coffee in Yorkshire! An institution.


The Patisserie, Saville Street, Malton

Run by Andrew Walker and the team, The Patisserie opens from 7am serving breakfasts, light lunches, afternoon tea. You can also order your hampers or celebration cakes.
