Jean-Christophe Novelli – The Nations favourite French chef!
Dubbed “The Nation’s Favourite French Chef”, Jean-Christophe will be heading to Yorkshire’s Food Capital for the Malton Food Lovers Festival in May. Jean-Christophe is an AA Rosette and 4 Michelin Star award-winning chef whose accolades include AA Chef’s Chef of the Year.
Jean-Christophe will be book signing, giving live interviews and headlining the Malton Cookery Theatre. Merci Monsieur!
BBC 2 Stars The Incredible Spice Men
Cyrus Todiwala and Tony Singh stars of BBC 2 will be patrons of the 2014 Malton Food Lovers Festival.
Both will be cooking live and teaching in the cookery school. They will be doing interviews and book signings of their new cook book.
Tony and Cyrus are on a mission to spice up Britain and Malton! They have taken to the road, exploring the British Isles and adding their own spicy twist to our most classic and best-loved dishes.

Michela Chiappa and her sisters Emi and Romina will be cooking live, giving lessons in the Malton cookery school, book signing and much more!
Whether searching for porcini in the hills near their parents’ home, or making pasta for Christmas Eve with the whole family, the sisters have been immersed in the Italian way of cooking all their lives.

James Mackenzie – Michelin Starred chef and owner of the Pipe and Glass Inn
James Mackenzie is one of Yorkshire’s most accomplished chefs with the only Michelin starred restaurant in East Yorksshire, The Pipe and Glass Inn, 20 Miles from Malton.
James recently appeared on the BBC show Saturday Kitchen with Malton’s very own James Martin and has written his award winning cookery book ‘On the Menu, Seasonal Recipes for a culinary life’. James Mackenzie is a passionate supporter of the produce of Yorkshire and has supporter the Malton Food Festival from the beginning!
Andrew Pern, Local favourite and owner of the famous Star Inn!
Andrew Pern has supported the Malton Food Lovers Festival from the very first year and is a fantastic advocate for Yorkshire produce. His Star Inn at Harome (10 Miles from Malton) is one of the most famous restaurants in the North.
Andrew has recently opened his new restaurant ‘The Star Inn The City’ in York. Located in the Old Engine House on the edge of York’s Museum Gardens it is as good as the original for sure and continues in his tradition of using the very best local ingredients.
